Getting your doctor to write a prescription that can be Compounded is essential to your success on the POINT OF RETURN Program.  Benzodiazepines, Sleeping Pills and Antidepressants are not commercially available in small enough dosages to titrate safety and comfortably. However, compounding pharmacies are facilities that can tailor prescription drug formulas in gradually reducing doses to meet our guidelines.  

Many people want to reduce their own medication. However, if you have attempted to slice small amounts off your pills, you already know how difficult it is. Most pill sizes are tiny, and attempting to shave segments is extremely unpredictable. Withdrawing by accurate reduction amounts allows your central nervous system time to adjust at each level.

Compounding is the only way to ensure accuracy in dose reductions.  So please, engage the assistance of your physician to provide a compounding prescription.  Just as with any prescription medication, you must have a prescription from a licensed medical professional for your drugs to be compounded.
