"Relax really works!  I love it!!" - TC

DESCRIPTION:

RELAX is a natural protein containing a bioactive decapeptide that has clinically proven anti-stress and relaxing properties. Studies have shown this 10-amino acid peptide is derived from natural origins and is free of undesirable side effects, issues of tolerance or addiction. And unlike many herbs, RELAX will not interact with any medication.

The research behind RELAX started with the observation that mother’s milk had a calming effect on babies. French researchers investigated what in milk might relieve stress and they isolated a protein that demonstrated anti-stress effects including in anxiety and insomnia.

Human Clinical Studies on Bioactive Decapeptide

  • An initial exploratory study found that within two days (200mg every 12 hours) reduced increases in blood pressure, heart rate and stress hormone.
  • 2nd study (150mg every evening daily for 40 days) reduced stress related symptoms, particularly digestive, intellectual, cardiovascular, emotion and social.
  • For sleep issues, 150mg per day for 4 weeks improved sleep quality and time to fall asleep after 2 weeks and daytime dysfunction after four weeks.
  • 150mg per day for 4 weeks prevented the increases in the stress hormone that occurs with intense physical training.

BENEFITS of CORTISOL CONTROL

Cortisol is a steroid hormone produced from cholesterol in the two adrenal glands located on top of each kidney. It is released in response to stress and fear but also increased to wake in the morning and during exercise. Cortisol is also critical in human nutrition, regulating energy by selecting the right type and amount of carbohydrate, fat or protein the body needs to meet physiological demands. When Cortisol is chronically elevated it has a deleterious effect on weight, immune function and can cause chronic diseases.

Cortisol and Melatonin have a close relationship. Melatonin is the sleep-regulating hormone and is designed to run opposite to Cortisol. Cortisol levels should be highest in the morning and reach their lowest point at bedtime, when Melatonin levels climb. High Cortisol prevents Melatonin from excreting, contributing to sleep disturbances.

Elevated Cortisol is Associated with:

  • Weight Gain and Obesity
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Blood Sugar Imbalances including Diabetes
  • Gastrointestinal Problems
  • Poor Immune Health
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Fertility Problems
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Thyroid Disorders
  • Dementia
  • Depression

Relax is a milk derivative protein containing a bioactive decapeptide clinically proven to have anti-stress properties. Relax mimics a natural relaxing substance in the brain but unlike addictive medications, has no side effects, issues of tolerance or dependence.

Studies have shown that this 10-amino-acid peptide is derived from natural origins and is free of undesirable side effects, issues of tolerance or addiction. Lactose has been taken out.

Discovery of Relax

The discovery of Relax came as researchers were observing the calm and relaxed state of newborns after ingesting milk. It was proven that this calm state was induced by the release of a bioactive decapeptide produced during digestion in the infants' immature digestive tract. With age the human digestive system is no longer able to release this decapeptide naturally, but was isolated from whey and is able to survive the digestive tract. The anti-stress efficacy of Relax has been confirmed at a dose of 150 mg per day (in six randomized double-blind placebo controlled studies) in reducing and regulating the main side effects of stress and tension (arterial tension, pulse, cortisol level, etc).

Cortisol Role in our Body

Cortisol is the dominant hormone released during stress, but it is also involved in glucose metabolism, blood pressure regulation, insulin release for blood sugar maintenance, immune function and the inflammatory response.  Prolonged levels of Cortisol have negative impacts on our health, including: impaired cognitive function, blood sugar imbalances, decreased bone density and muscle tissue, suppressed thyroid function, higher blood pressure, lowered immunity, poor inflammatory response and increased abdominal fat.
